Liz Derksen

“ Liz R. Derksen is a Canadian artist, living in Huntsville, Ontario, who loves to paint in acrylic.  Her inspiration comes from the beauty that she sees while hiking or snowshoeing.  The beauty in the way the light strikes a tree, or hits the lake, or the way the clouds move. Beauty she sees in the colours of the forest; in mountains and rocks, and the old tired trees.  Liz admits that she is in love with trees.  She loves to touch them, sketch them and paint them, and also will admit to an obsession with tree bark.
Her hope is that her paintings speak to you.  That you are able to share the beauty she sees, and enjoy it through her eyes.   If Liz’s paintings touch you in some way or make you smile, she is happy.
