Cathy Mark

Cathy Mark’s artwork has a distinct woodland flavour; as natural images come instinctively to her. Her subject choice is a reflection of her surroundings. Her whimsical iron & rock sculptures capture the nature and charm of Canadian wildlife. Completely self taught, Cathy’s metal and stone work is progressing to larger and more complex creatures. By using a cutting tool called a plasma cutter, she carves out these playfully peaceful creatures from our surroundings. Each piece is hand drawn to make unique original sculptures, expressing both life and sometimes laughter.
