Michele Van Maurik is an award winning and international recognized artist from Oakville, Ontario. Bold, luminous, larger than life floral paintings are her signature style.
She is well known as "The Painter of Petals" and has been the recipient of many prestigious awards, including both a silver and vermeil medal for excellence in painting by the Arts, Sciences and Lettres academy of Paris. She has exhibited four consecutive years from 2013-2016 as part of the Canadian Delegation at the Society National des Beaux Arts at the Louvre in Paris. Attention to detail, mastery of colour and striving for excellence are her driving forces behind her painting. In addition to florals, "Purple Rhapsody" and "Sundance" were juried into the Artistes du Monde held in Cannes in 2014 where she was presented to Marina Picasso.
