Leo Sepa

Leo Sepa was born in Sweden, in 1947. To escape the Soviet repression, he came to Canada when he was three. Coincidentally, Leo’s grandfather was a traditional blacksmith; in fact the name “Sepa” is derived from the Estonian “Raud Sepp” which translates as iron smith.
Leo Sepa uses new and reclaimed metals together with fire and tools to shape his artistic visions. His artwork takes the form of: caricatures, wall splays, gargoyles, masks, furniture, garden sculptures, candelabras, wildlife, weathervanes and much more. Leo is continually developing and exploring new ideas, which are reflected in his artwork. He resides in Nova Scotia.
